Our journey began back in February 1990, when Grace Church was planted following a word God spoke to Terry Virgo, leader of New Frontiers, about planting into Lancing. Grace Church later became Jubilee Church and moved to Worthing, eventually meeting at Worthing High School, where it flourished and even planted Trinity Church in Littlehampton in 2018.

After 30 successful years, the elders felt that a planned relocation to the Guildbourne Centre presented an opportunity for a complete relaunch of the church. And so, during the pandemic at Easter 2020, Redeemer Church was launched. We began meeting in person in May 2021 in the heart of the town, fulfilling a prophetic word from years earlier about taking the heart of Worthing.

Redeemer is part of a wider movement of churches called Regions Beyond led by Fusi Mokoena. There are now churches across six continents, with thirty-five churches in the UK. Our nearest sister church is Trinity in Littlehampton.
